Picnic On The Beach At Itapema

The winter is coming to an end here in Brazil and so my family and I spent this Sunday on the beach.

We were thinking of having the usual Sunday roast but after waking up and seeing the glorious sunshine we decided to take a picnic on the beach.

Definitely made the right choice. It was a beautiful day and it appeared that half of Itapema had the same idea too as the beach was quite busy.

Even though it was hot enough for a sunbathe it was still a bit too cold to go for a swim in the sea, just a little dip ankle high was tolerable. The ice cold water put me off but it certainly didn’t stop my kids from having a splash about.

Tuna mayo sandwiches went down well, the kids had some sand added to theirs for extra crunchiness. No matter how many times I washed their hands they seemed to manage to get sand on their food. LOL.
